Ayurvedic management of Udavartini Yonivyapad (Ovarian Endometrioma)- A Case Report

Endometriosis presents in three different entities, which are frequently found together: peritoneal lesions, deep endometriosis and ovarian endometriotic cysts (endometriomas). can be discussed as a syndrome complex of Udavartini Yonivyapad Ayurveda. A 32-year-old unmarried woman consulted the BMARI hospital with chief complaint sever lower abdominal pain, severe menstrual pain prolong bleeding for 5 years’ duration. Surgical history laparoscopic cystectomy right side endometrioma (chocolate cyst) on 2017. Laboratory tests were unremarkable except that Tumor marker. CA -125 value- 41.1U/ML. Ultrasound revealed (TAS) bulky uterus adenomyosis. The seen thin walled diffuse homogeneous ground-glass echoes contents measuring around 3.72cm x 1.84cm size ovary 3.09 cm 2.22 left ovary; addition, highly echogenic fluid cul-de-sac pre-ovulatory follicle observed. After 10 weeks’ treatment proceeds patient was recovered completely from abdomen, Menstrual cycle regular at normal intervals without any complications. CA-125 tumour marker value – 16 U/ML & USG findings cyst reduced to 1.45cm x1.68cm. Hence it is concluded above protocol effective management Yoni Vyapad Kaphajagranthi (Endometriosis Ovarian Endometrioma).
